OUR FABRICS Hand-printed fabric makes our clothing uniquely vibrant. We work with artisanal producers to develop over 100 new prints each season using techniques like batik block printing, dabu mud resist, kalamkari with natural dyes, shibori, and handpaint. These traditional methods and the artisans who practice them bring our fabric to life. In this digital age of computer-generated prints, we value handmade! EMBROIDERY Hand embroidery is a pillar of MarketPlace India, supporting both our mission and designs. We include it on every style to provide income and opportunities for women artisans. Designs and stitches are developed during embroidery workshops where artisans from cooperatives all over the region meet to work and collaborate.
