Web and Digital Marketing Manager

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Web and Digital Marketing Manager who is not only skilled in digital strategy but also deeply customer focused. This role involves understanding our audience--what inspires them, how they engage with our brand, and what drives their purchasing decisions. By analyzing customer behavior, preferences, and feedback, you will develop and execute marketing strategies that can attract new customers and increase the customer base.

This is a remote position, but preference will be given to applicants from the Chicago area.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Insights & Data-Driven Marketing:

  • Analyze customer behavior through website traffic, purchase patterns, email engagement, and social media interactions.
  • Segment audiences to create personalized marketing strategies for different customer groups.
  • Use tools like Google Analytics, heatmaps, and CRM data to track customer behavior, analyze campaign performance, and optimize conversion pathways.
  • Conduct A/B testing on digital assets, ads, and email campaigns to improve results.
  • Use analytics tools to track customer journeys and optimize conversion pathways.

Website Optimization:

  • Ensure the website delivers an intuitive, engaging experience aligned with customer needs.
  • Optimize product pages, blog content, and navigation for ease of use and higher conversions.

SEO & Content Strategy:

  • Analyze and improve current SEO strategies tailored to our ideal customer profiles to improve organic reach.
  • Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
  • Develop strategies for generative search as platforms evolve with artificial intelligence
  • Determine mission-driven storytelling opportunities that influence purchase decisions.

Digital Marketing & Paid Advertising:

  • Improve digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels (Google Ads, Meta Ads, email, and social media) with a focus on targeted messaging based on customer interests and behaviors.
  • Test and refine ad creatives, copy, and audience segmentation to improve ad performance.
  • Use remarketing techniques to engage previous visitors and encourage repeat purchases.

Social Media & Email Marketing:

  • Develop social media strategies that speak directly to our audience's values, interests, and engagement patterns.
  • Optimize email marketing campaigns with automation and personalization.
  • Track engagement and refine messaging based on customer responses.

Analytics & Performance Tracking:

  • Use tools like Google Analytics, heatmaps, and CRM data to track customer behavior and campaign performance.
  • Generate insights from data to inform future marketing strategies.
  • Conduct A/B testing on digital assets, ads, and email campaigns to improve results.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, web management, or eCommerce.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using Google Analytics, social media insights, and email marketing metrics to drive decisions.
  • Proficiency in SEO, SEM, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and email marketing tools.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Big Commerce, etc.) and basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with eCommerce marketing, fair trade brands, or social enterprises.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Klaviyo, etc.).
  • Graphic design and video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
