Priyanka: Strength in Skills, Growth in Community

Priyanka, a talented tailor at Utsaah, is known for her quiet dedication and willingness to learn. While she enjoys her work and the financial support it provides her family, she has also grown in confidence, now helping fellow artisans navigate banking by assisting them in opening savings accounts—an achievement she's proud of.

Her past experience in a garment factory was starkly different. “We werenÕt allowed to talk, worked long hours under strict schedules, and the atmosphere felt mechanical and depressing,” she recalls. In contrast, Utsah offers a caring and supportive environment where artisans celebrate festivals together and learn through engaging activities.

Looking back, Priyanka sees her struggles as steppingstones to strength. “All my challenges have made me more confident. I'm happy with where I am, and I truly enjoy my work and time with my Utsaah colleagues.” Now, her focus is on her daughter Prajakta—hoping she builds a career, learns, and finds the right time to settle down.
