MarketPlace works with small groups of fabric artisans who are keeping alive traditional weaving and dyeing techniques. They block print by hand, hand batik and weave the fabrics that become unique MarketPlace products. These exacting and labor-intensive practices increase employment for artisans in and outside of the city.

Beautiful fabric and comfortable design that is true to size. Because of the darts in the hem, it is more stylish than a caftan. I like the 3/4 sleaves and neckline. I'm taking it with me on my travels. Very pleased.

Fabulous flattering fit and gorgeous fabric

This is my new favorite dress. The small pleats at the bottom give it such shape and style and the fabric is the sort of blue that makes your heart sing. Thank you for a gorgeous bit of clothing!

Beautiful Cool Blue Print

I haven't worn this beautiful dress yet because I have to take up the hem a little, but I tried it on and it's very flattering and comfortable. I love all the clothing from Marketplace India. The fact that it is made with 100% cotton is important to me because I live in a desert city, and it washes and dries like a dream. This print is beautiful!!

Another beautiful dress

This is my second MarketPlace dress. Just like the first, the handiwork is of excellent quality, as is the fabric. I'm one of those people who likes to iron, but neither of these dresses really need ironing if washed and hung on a hanger to dry. They are so comfortable to wear, and I LOVE that they have pockets! Thank you, MarketPlace!
