Kalamkari:

The word Kalamkari is derived from a Persian word where 'kalam' means pen and 'kari' refers to craftsmanship. Initially Kalamkari fabrics were hand painted but today wooden carved blocks are used. Kalamkari textiles were a prized trading commodity throughout Asia and Europe for hundreds of years. This traditional art has survived among dedicated artisans in southern India who follow the age–old techniques and natural dye recipes of this painstaking process. The process can involve 23 steps each requiring precision and an eye for detailing.

I haven't worn this jacket yet, but I plan to when the weather gets cooler. Both sides are nice.

I love my jacket!

I adore the fabrics and beautiful, precise embroidery on both sides of my reversible jacket. The garment fits me well, but it is a little shorter than I expected from the photo. I love pockets on both sides, but don't quite hold my smart phone. Nonetheless the fabric side shown in the photo is incredibly beautiful. I love it overall.

Great, versatile top

I've only had this top a couple weeks and have already worn it three times. The reversible thickness makes it a great transition piece for early spring temps. The gold side is nice and the dressy. The grey side is a little more casual. As always... LOVE the pockets!
