The perfect reversible boxy jacket. One side is an upcycled chindi patchwork of embroidered soft double gauze cotton on the front with a solid black back. The reverse is dark red double blockprint on light blue cotton, accented with embroidery. The chindi patchwork colors may vary due to the variety of upcycled fabrics. Three-quarter length sleeves. Generously cut.

Renewing Materials, New Lives

MarketPlace's Chindi collection makes scraps stylish while training new artisans. The chindi, small fabric pieces left over from cutting garments, are recycled into new clothing, accessories and embellishments in a variety of ways. After being cut into uniform pieces, the chindi are sewn together by trainees learning to sew straight and accurate seams on the sewing machines.
